ISLAMABAD The Privatization Commission has prepared a five- time program for the privatization of state- possessed companies, which will be submitted to the Privatization Committee of the Cabinet moment for blessing and the commission will determine the targets for the first and coming three times of privatization.
Sources said that the IMF had demanded a roadmap for the privatization of all state- possessed companies for the new program. Federal ministries have proposed not to privatize 39 state- possessed companies. Under the new law, only the finance ministry can declare a company as strategic.
The rights of workers will be defended in the privatization of government companies, a offer has also been made to give them a golden handshake, the package for them will be decided by the Privatization Committee.
