Protest demanding Imran Khan’s release, with PTI leadership mandating compulsory participation from members

Tehreek-e-Insaf will demonstrate public power in Lahore today, caravans continue to arrive

PESHAWAR: Fazal Elahi, a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, has vowed to the workers that he will join the protests demanding the release of PTI Founder Chairman Imran Khan.

Addressing the workers during the PTI protest in Peshawar, former provincial finance minister Taimur Jhagra claimed that nine seats were unlawfully taken in Peshawar. He remarked that a recent image had a significant impact nationwide.

Jhagra mentioned that they are often told they lost because they lacked flexibility. However, he argued that the system needs reform, starting with the release of PTI’s founder from jail. He emphasized the need to hold district commissioners, returning officers, and the Chief Secretary accountable, including addressing the imprisonment of a veiled woman.

Jhagra declared that they must either break the constitution and law or provide accountability. He asserted that PTI’s founder would emerge from jail to become the prime minister and denounced the torture and imprisonment of the country’s hero.

Expressing faith in the courts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jhagra reaffirmed their confidence in the judiciary.

PTI leader and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly member Fazal Elahi pledged to participate in every protest advocating for the release of the PTI founder.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Ali Zaman Advocate used offensive language against Assistant Commissioner Samira Saba during the meeting, referencing events from February 8.
