Before the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings and Islamabad United made a significant trade. Imad Wasim, the victorious captain of PSL 5, will be joining Islamabad United, while Hasan Ali will now play for Karachi Kings.
In this trade, Karachi Kings acquired Islamabad United’s first round silver pick in exchange for their second round silver pick. Imad Wasim was selected by United in the platinum category, while Karachi Kings secured Hasan Ali in the diamond category.
The management of Karachi Kings has acknowledged Imad Wasim’s contributions as the former captain and conveyed their best wishes to him. Meanwhile, Hasan Ali stands as the second-highest wicket-taker in the history of the Pakistan Super League, boasting 94 wickets.
Additionally, Mirza Tahir Baig from Lahore Qalandars, Rooman Raees from Islamabad United, and Mir Hamza from Karachi Kings have been included in the Gold and Silver category following successful requests for relegation by the franchises before the players’ draft for the tournament.
This trade signifies an exchange of talent and strategy, with Hasan Ali’s move to Karachi Kings accompanied by a swap of Silver round picks.
