During the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) player drafting ceremony held in Lahore, history was made as three brothers were chosen to play together for the first time in the league’s history.
Islamabad United, a prominent PSL franchise and two-time champions, had already secured the talents of Naseem Shah. However, during the drafting process for the upcoming ninth season, they further strengthened their squad by including the services of fast bowlers Haneen Shah and Obaid Shah.
The addition of these siblings marks a unique and exciting development for Islamabad United. Notably, Hunain Shah showcased commendable performances in the National T20 Cup, while Obaid Shah has been making his mark representing Pakistan U-19 in the Asia Cup held in Dubai.
Islamabad United made a strategic move by selecting both these cricketers in the emerging category, recognizing their potential and aiming to fortify their team for the upcoming PSL season. Additionally, it’s noteworthy that Shaan Masood has been appointed as the new captain of Karachi Kings, adding another layer of intrigue to the evolving dynamics of the league.
