Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has asserted that the Tosha Khana reference against its Founder Chairman, Imran Khan, has been proven baseless and fabricated following the testimony of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witness in court.
According to PTI’s statement, Imran Khan’s lawyer, Advocate Shehbaz Khosa, dismantled the entire case during the cross-examination of NAB’s star witness, Imran Masih. PTI alleges that NAB sent images of Tosha Khana’s jewelry to Imran Masih and constructed the entire case based on his responses.
The party contends that Imran Masih, an FA pass individual, despite eight years of effort, failed to pass a work test. PTI further points out that Masih lacks any certification for jewelry assaying, is unfamiliar with the abbreviation IGI, and lacks knowledge about his shop’s name meaning or its owner.
The statement highlights that Imran Masih failed to provide written evidence of market research and estimates conducted by the shops, and he did not possess any authority letter from the company regarding price determination and court testimony. PTI emphasizes that the gifts mentioned in NAB’s reference were not subjected to machine examination, as only photographs were available, and Masih incorrectly reported the weight of diamonds in grams instead of carats.
