Rawalpindi: Preparing for the upcoming general elections, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the commencement of its election campaign starting this Saturday.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, addressing the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, stated that PTI will kick off its comprehensive election campaign on Saturday, expressing confidence in a collective victory alongside the people.
He revealed that PTI has already allocated tickets to its candidates, with only 10 to 15 tickets pending a decision, expected to be finalized today. All candidates are urged to submit their credentials promptly.
Highlighting the regional dynamics, Barrister Gohar emphasized that despite being a neighboring country, Iran has received a robust response from Pakistani forces, ensuring the prevention of any unauthorized attacks.
Barrister Gohar also disclosed that Sher Afzal Marwat is set to campaign extensively across Punjab and Sindh, clarifying that his movements are not autonomous but are sanctioned by the party.
Acknowledging the rigorous efforts of Shibli Faraz and Umar Ayub in the ticket allocation process, Barrister Gohar clarified that decisions were not unilaterally made; instead, the entire process was a result of thorough consultation. He emphasized that the popularity of a party directly correlates with the number of candidates vying for tickets.
