The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has taken a stand against the Election Commission’s decision on the intra-party elections and the withdrawal of their election symbols in the Peshawar High Court.
Chairman Barrister Gauhar from the PTI appealed to the Peshawar High Court, seeking to overturn the Election Commission’s ruling that invalidated the intra-party elections and revoked the party’s bat symbol.
Following consultations with PTI founder Imran Khan in prison, Barrister Gohar Ali lodged a petition in the High Court. The Election Commission had nullified PTI’s intra-party elections and withheld their party certificate from the official website, subsequently withdrawing the bat symbol from PTI.
Meanwhile, PTI’s Senior Vice President, Sher Fazal Marwat, has also called for attention to Pervaiz Khattak’s remarks concerning the bat symbol.
