ISLAMABAD: PTI has called for the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the attack on Rauf Hassan.
In a joint press conference, PTI Secretary General Umar Ayub, Information Secretary Rauf Hassan, Azam Swati, Shaukat Basra, and Khalid Khurshid addressed the incident. Omar Ayub stated that there was a murderous attack on the PTI Information Secretary outside a private channel, marking the second attack in two days. He emphasized that the previous attack should have been reported, as the assailants had inflicted severe injuries with a sharp instrument, but Rauf Hassan survived by the grace of Allah.
Ayub expressed complete rejection of the FIR filed by the Islamabad Police, accusing them of mishandling the case. He questioned who directed the filing of the FIR and criticized the absence of terrorism charges. PTI demands that the judiciary form a commission to investigate the attack urgently. Ayub warned that if such attacks continue, the situation could worsen and announced plans for peaceful protests across the country in response to any further incidents.
