Islamabad: Islamabad Court Grants Bail to PTI Social Media Activist Arooba Komal Under PICA Act
The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad, with Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Bhatti presiding, has granted bail to Arooba Komal, a PTI social media activist, against a surety of Rs 50,000. The petitioner’s counsel argued that two other women had already been granted bail in the same case and that Arooba Komal was not named in the FIR.
Arooba Komal was sent to jail on judicial remand yesterday by Duty Judge Mureed Abbas. The case against PTI spokesperson Rauf Hasan, Arooba Komal, and other workers was registered under the PECA Act.
