In Islamabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has chosen Sheikh Waqas Akram as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat and Sunni Etihad Council chief Hamid Raza withdrew from contention for the position. Sources indicate that PTI’s political committee approved Akram’s appointment. Earlier, PTI founder Imran Khan had nominated Sher Afzal Marwat for the role, but due to internal party disagreements, Hamid Raza was nominated instead.
