In New Delhi, Rahul Gandhi, a Lok Sabha member, has brought to light what he views as the BJP’s divisive interpretation of Hindu ideology. He remarked, “I’ve delved into the Gita and numerous Hindu texts, but I’ve never come across the BJP’s version of Hinduism. The BJP’s actions run counter to the true essence of Hinduism.”
Rahul Gandhi critiqued the BJP, stating that he has never encountered any Hindu leader advocating for the intimidation or mistreatment of those less fortunate, which he perceives as the BJP’s agenda. He argued that the BJP’s promotion of Hindu nationalism is, in reality, a form of caste-based discrimination. He further alleged that BJP members are willing to go to great lengths to seize power, regardless of the consequences.
According to him, the BJP is determined to safeguard the existing caste hierarchy and social order in India. Their primary objective is to maintain the dominance of a select few in society.
