Lahore: Pakistan Railways has announced a 25% discount on fares for Eid. This discount will be available across all classes of passenger trains for the three days of Eid but will only apply to current bookings.
The discount will not be applicable to Eid special trains. The railway administration has also decided to stop the Awam Express (13Up, 14Dn), which operates between Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Karachi, at Chaklala railway station for two minutes. This facility will be available temporarily for three months and will be implemented immediately.
Additionally, the prompt action of railway police personnel at Mianwali station saved the life of a passenger.
