In Lahore, the Punjab Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution declaring Zulfiqar Bhutto an official martyr and national hero.
The resolution, presented by Ali Haider Gilani, the parliamentary leader of the People’s Party, addressed the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the execution of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
It highlighted concerns over the lack of transparency in Bhutto’s trial, as acknowledged by the Supreme Court itself. The resolution advocated for Bhutto to be recognized as an official martyr and a revered figure in the nation’s democratic history. The resolution received unanimous approval from the House.
