In Karachi, the local gold market has seen a rise in prices due to the recent uptick in the global gold price per tola. Details indicate that the price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market has surged by $10 to reach $2343.
Locally, the price of 24-carat gold per tola has climbed by Rs 800 to Rs 240,800, while the price per ten grams has risen by Rs 686 to Rs 206,447. Representatives from the bullion market attribute this increase to the influence of purchasing power on local markets and a notable decrease in gold trading activities. Despite the global rise, the local gold price has been affected, with an increase of Rs 4000.
Meanwhile, the price of silver has remained steady, with no change in the price per tola at Rs 2800 and per ten grams at Rs 2400.54
