
Lahore: Pakistani-born British singer Saira Peter completed the recording of Maulana Rumi’s Qawwali in Konya, Turkey.
The sufi opera star singer composed the Sufi kalam of Maulana Rumi herself and recorded the qawwali in front of Maulana Rumi’s shrine.
In this regard, singer Saira Peter says that Maulana Rumi’s words teach wisdom and high thoughts and help in opening the closed doors of people’s minds through poetry.
Saira Peter said that the greatest thing in Maulana Rumi’s speech is that there is simplicity in his poetry and Suzo Gadaz is also there.
Saira Peter said that although the main theme of his poetry was spirituality and true love or divine love, but at the same time, he has also emphasized the themes of religious tolerance, beliefs and ethics.
