Faisalabad: Saud Shakeel’s Dolphins got their first victory in Champions ODI Cup.
In the tenth match of the tournament played in Faisalabad, Dolphins defeated Shaheen Afridi’s Lions by 16 runs.
Dolphins won the toss and batted first and scored 326 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 49.3 overs. Umar Amin 75, Mohammad Akhlaq 52 and Mohammad Harira were outstanding with 47 runs.
In pursuit of the target, the Lions team scored 310 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Rohail Nazir of Lions scored 62, Khushdil Shah 60, Muhammad Taha 40 runs were outstanding.
It should be noted that Shaheen and Lions have played their four matches so far, out of which both have won one match each, Dolphins is fifth and Lions fourth on the points table.
