America has said that Saudi Arabia has been our important strategic partner for 8 decades and will remain so for the next 8 decades.
According to the World News Agency, John Kirby, the spokesman of the US National Security Council, said that the good relations with Saudi Arabia are moving forward and this relation will be maintained for a long time.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby added, “There may be many issues with Saudi Arabia that we disagree with, but the good thing is that we have a relationship where we can express those concerns directly and we have time.”
But they also do that. John Kirby further explained that our focus is on the future. Saudi Arabia is still a strategic partner, not today, it has been for eight decades and will continue to be for the next eight decades.
John Kirby, when asked if Saudi Arabia cut oil production in spite of the US’s request, will make a difference in the relationship. It was a decision of the sovereign state to protect its interests. John Kirby further stated that Saudi Arabia did not inform the US of this decision in advance, nor was it required to do so.
It should be remembered that last year, when OPEC Plus under the leadership of Saudi Arabia decided to reduce oil production, the US considered this decision as supporting Russia. However, this time, the United States did not react strongly to Saudi Arabia’s decision not to increase oil production, which critics are calling a major change that will have positive effects on the region.
