Saudi Arabia has started removing visa stickers on passports for 12 countries including Pakistan. According to Arab media, e-visa of Saudi Arabia will now be issued with a QR code instead of a sticker on the passport.
The Saudi Department of Civil Aviation has informed all airlines operating flights to Saudi airports in writing about this. The information related to the traveler will be entered in it, while the previously issued sticker visas will be effective.
The new visa system will come into effect in Pakistan on July 24, 2023, Yemen on July 26, Sudan on August 2, Uganda on August 7, Lebanon on August 9, Nepal on August 14.
Turkey on August 16, Sri Lanka on August 21, Kenya on August 23, Morocco on August 28, Thailand on August 30 and Vietnam on September 4, 2023. According to the new system, e-visas are issued instead of stickers on passports for visits or transit.
