
Saudi Trade Minister Majid Al-Qasabi convened with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during the special session of the World Economic Forum held in Riyadh today.
During their meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed optimism about the burgeoning economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the commencement of a new chapter in their relations. He underscored the forthcoming initiatives aimed at bolstering bilateral trade volumes.
In response, the Saudi Trade Minister affirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to prioritizing Pakistan in terms of investment and trade. He announced an upcoming visit by a delegation comprising Saudi business leaders, traders, and investors to Pakistan. Additionally, he outlined ambitious goals to elevate economic and trade relations between the two nations in the next one to one-and-a-half years.
Highlighting the significant contributions of Pakistanis to Saudi Arabia’s development and prosperity, the Saudi minister stressed the importance of fostering a sense of friendship and camaraderie between the youth and newer generations of both countries.
