
Extending the physical custody of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the court has authorized a 3-day extension for his detention by the FIA.
The Official Secrets Act court in Islamabad conducted proceedings related to the cipher case involving Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Qureshi, who had completed a 4-day initial physical remand, was presented before the court. During this appearance, Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s legal representative, Shoaib Shaheen, and Special Prosecutor Shah Khawar were also in attendance.
Furthermore, Judge Abul Hasnat of the Official Secrets Act Special Court deliberated on the FIA’s request for an extension of Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s physical remand in the cipher case. After considering arguments from both sides, the judge reserved the decision.
Subsequently, the court granted a 3-day extension of Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s physical remand and entrusted his continued custody to the FIA for this additional period.
