Former Prime Minister and President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized the need for fairness in the legal system.
Speaking after his appearance in the Lahore Accountability Court, he highlighted the challenges faced by his family, mentioning instances like his daughter’s handcuffing in front of her father and Nawaz Sharif’s return to face legal proceedings.
Shehbaz Sharif also addressed the disruption in developmental progress due to the ousting of Nawaz Sharif’s government and its impact on Balochistan’s governance. He condemned actions against the state, referencing the May 9 incident as an attempt to undermine the military, expressing zero tolerance for such betrayals in a democratic setup.
Regarding the upcoming elections, he stressed the importance of timely elections as per the democratic norms and laws. He emphasized their readiness for the campaign, mentioning Nawaz Sharif’s intention to present a comprehensive manifesto during the election period.
