Begum Nusrat Shahbaz, the wife of former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, remains in poor health and there are plans to move her to London for further medical treatment.
After spending a week receiving treatment at Aqash Hospital Model Town, Begum Nusrat Shehbaz was discharged. However, her condition remains critical, prompting consideration of transferring her from Lahore to London to continue her treatment.
Family insiders indicate that former Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his wife may depart for London in the coming days. The decision to transfer Begum Nusrat Shehbaz to London hinges on the advice of her medical team. The healthcare professionals will determine whether she should travel via regular commercial flight or if a special air ambulance should be arranged.
It has been noted that Begum Nusrat Shehbaz has sought treatment in London previously. It is anticipated that Shahbaz Sharif will remain in London until his wife’s treatment is complete. During his stay, he plans to convene detailed discussions with his brother and party leader Nawaz Sharif. These discussions are expected to shape the future political strategy of the Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Meanwhile, other prominent party figures such as Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Asif, Rana Sanaullah, and Rana Tanveer are also considering travel to London. The aim of their gathering in London is to deliberate on the forthcoming general elections and the potential return of Nawaz Sharif.
Please note that the plans and decisions outlined above are contingent upon medical assessments and approvals.
