Shaheen responded to the concerns about the decrease in bowling speed

National cricket team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has responded to concerns about the drop in bowling speed after injury.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the fast bowler of the national team, who suffered an injury in the final of the T20 World Cup scheduled in Australia, said that taking wickets is more important than speed, I am trying to restore the bowling speed by increasing my skills.

He admitted that his bowling speed has decreased after the injury, but he has returned to the team after rehab. Having regained confidence by playing Pakistan Super League (PSL) and international cricket, he will improve with time as he plays.

Earlier, former chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Ramiz Raja, had expressed concern over the decline in bowling speed of the Shaheens during the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand.

Ramiz Raja said that Shaheen Afridi also needs to bring some variation in his bowling so that he can Be more effective on these pitches.

Let’s say it’s a 10 over spell, then I can understand that 2, 3 overs aren’t putting much pace but they have to pick up the pace a bit.
