Eminent TV host Dr. Shaista Lodhi has explained the strange ideas in her morning shows and said that ‘everyone blames us, no one tells them what gives us such ideas.’
Shaista Lodhi recently participated in Jio Entertainment’s program ‘Hansna Muni Hai’ and Sama News’ program ‘Had Kurdi’.
Momin Saqib, the host of the Sama program, said, “When you used to do morning shows, you started marrying people and goats too?” Getting married is a rewarding job, but who gets goats married? Later during the program, the picture was also shown when Shaista married goats in her morning show.
To which Shaista replied that ‘Is it a rewarding work to marry only human beings?’
The host pointed to the picture and said, ‘We married a goat and a goat, now they both have 4 small children.’
He added that ‘since the goat was very small, it was also put in a diaper’, at which Momin Saqib was surprised, then Shaista said, ‘I am telling the truth, believe me, we Diapered the goat so the studio wouldn’t get dirty’.
At which the participants in the program laughed, but Shaista said that ‘it is not a laughing matter but it is a deep matter.’
On the other hand, when Shaista Lodhi participated in Geo Entertainment’s program ‘Hansna Muni Hai’, the host asked that ‘You probably married a goat and a goat during the Eid-ul-Adha show.’
To which Shaista said that ‘at that time ‘Bakra’ was causing a lot of trouble in the studio, on which we had to put him in a diaper”.
“Everyone keeps blaming me, but no one tells them what gives us these ideas,” he added.
Shaista Lodhi said, ‘You see my simplicity, the producer gave us this idea and we were working on it.’
During the same program, Tabish Hashmi showed an old photo of Shaista Lodhi kissing a cobra, from Shaista Lodhi’s 2010 show, when she invited Waqar Zaka as a guest on her show.
Talking about this dangerous demonstration, Shaista said that ‘I was doing it, I had no idea that it would happen, I had practiced for a week before kissing the cobra.’
The host said that it was my own will to kiss the snake, no one asked me to do so.
He said that one day Waqar Zaka came to my program, he told me about this challenge during the break, in the live program when Waqar asked me to challenge him by putting a snake in front of him, I did it too.
Shaista said that ‘before going live at that time, Waqar Zaka told that many years have passed since the snake’s venom was extracted, so now it will definitely contain poison, but I had no idea about it.’
He further said that he did not tell his parents about the dangerous act, ‘My parents were not aware of this, when the show aired on TV, my parents started receiving phone calls, so my father told me. Called and asked, what is this madness?’ To which I said ‘now what was to be done’.
Shaista Lodhi, who made her VJ debut in 2011, rose to fame from morning shows and made her acting debut in 2016 with the drama serial ‘Waada’ and then ‘Khan’.
