Sharjeel Inam Memon, a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, asserted that the Pakistan Muslim League-N has historically attained power through deals, while emphasizing a call for a shift towards new thinking.
Memon, during a press conference, highlighted Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s advocacy for a fresh perspective, framing the electoral competition as addressing issues like poverty, inflation, and unemployment.
Memon stated that unlike the PPP, PML-N has a history of targeting institutions and opponents during challenging times. He noted that PPP leaders have made significant sacrifices for the country and criticized the negative thinking that has harmed Pakistan. According to Memon, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s positive approach is resonating with the public, urging them to make decisions in the upcoming elections on February 8.
Commenting on the recent meeting in Lahore, Memon claimed that the leadership of the Muslim League-N is in a state of panic, with individuals like Ahsan Iqbal attempting to deceive the public. He highlighted that PPP did not initiate conflicts with PML-N, but the latter formed alliances against PPP in Sindh. Memon acknowledged his personal respect for Shahbaz Sharif and asserted that the health facilities in Sindh surpass those in Punjab, KP, or Balochistan.
Further, Memon questioned the achievements of the Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif governments, criticizing PML-N’s ascent to power through deals with corrupt individuals. He also credited Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari for founding the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and criticized the past governance of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the worst in the country’s history. Memon highlighted that the PTI government was removed through constitutional and legal means.
