Sheikh Jafar Mandukhel, the nominated Governor of Balochistan, was sworn into office in Quetta. The ceremony, held at the Governor House, was attended by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Members of Parliament, and other dignitaries. Chief Justice Hashim Khan Kakar of the Balochistan High Court administered the oath to Mandukhel.
Born on December 26, 1956, in Quetta, Sheikh Jafar Khan began his political career in 1974 through student politics. He serves as the Provincial President of the Non-League Balochistan and previously held the position of President of the Muslim Students Federation in Balochistan. Despite his affiliation with the PML-N in the 2024 elections, Mandukhel lost his bid for a provincial seat.
