In Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League and former federal interior minister, has claimed that President Arif Alvi has picked his own birthday, November 6, as the proposed date for the upcoming elections.
Sheikh Rasheed expressed his belief that this decision could lead to significant political turbulence. He also mentioned that the central organizing committee of the PPP is expected to make its presence felt tomorrow and might call for a fair and equal political playing field.
Furthermore, Sheikh Rasheed emphasized that crucial developments in Pakistan’s political landscape are anticipated to occur within this year, with substantial decisions expected by December 30.
Additionally, by December 15, it will be determined which political faction will hold sway. President Arif Alvi had formally recommended November 6 as the election date in a letter to the Election Commission.
