Islamabad: Sher Afzal Marwat, a leader of Tehreek-e-Insaaf, has made a significant assertion regarding the party’s chairmanship.
Addressing the media outside the High Court, Sher Afzal Marwat claimed that Hamid Khan aspired to become the PTI chairman, but he opposed it, leading to Hamid Khan making statements against him. Marwat asserted that Rauf Hassan, Shoaib Shaheen, and Hamid Khan are all part of the same faction.
Marwat mentioned that Imran Khan intended to appoint Barrister Gohar as the party chairman. However, there were individuals within the party, including himself, who wished to keep the decision of the founding chairman of PTI confidential on that night.
He further explained that he eventually realized that there was a manipulative agenda at play, prompting him to disclose the founder chairman’s decision during a press conference outside, shedding light on what had transpired within the party.
