Sindh High Court Orders to register missing case of PTI leader Usman Dar

In Karachi, the Sindh High Court has initiated proceedings concerning the disappearance of PTI leader Usman Dar, who was apprehended in the city. The court has instructed the police to furnish a report by October 3.

During the High Court session, a petition addressing the disappearance of PTI leader Usman Dar following his detention in Karachi was reviewed.

The police officer in question stated that the petitioner did not approach the police to formally register a missing person’s case for Usman Dar.

In response, the petitioner’s legal representative contended that they had indeed submitted a petition regarding Usman Dar’s disappearance on the very first day. The public prosecutor suggested that the petitioner could provide a statement to the police under Section 154 if desired, clarifying that Usman Dar is not currently in police custody.

The petitioner’s legal representative argued that Caretaker Interior Minister Haris Nawaz had acknowledged on a television talk show that Usman Dar was in police custody. However, the police now assert that Usman Dar has not been detained.

As a result, the court has instructed the police to initiate a case regarding Usman Dar’s disappearance and furnish a report by October 3.
