In Lahore, Siraj-ul-Haq, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has asserted that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is aiming to expand its governance nationwide in light
of the challenges faced in Sindh. Haq emphasized that the PPP has been in control of Sindh for fifteen consecutive years and now harbors aspirations to lead the entire country in the aftermath of the Sindh crisis.
In a statement, Haq shared his perspective on the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), suggesting that its leaders are vying for a fourth term after three consecutive ones. He criticized the previous ruling parties, underscoring their limited contributions to the country’s progress, and pointed out the weariness among the public regarding governance dominated by familial ties.
Haq went on to declare Jamaat-e-Islami’s commitment to fostering peace, justice, and development in the country. He urged the public to participate in the upcoming elections on February 8, expressing confidence that Jamaat-e-Islami will pave the way for a prosperous Pakistan.
