Siraj-ul-Haq; The time has come to get out of father-daughter and father-son politics.

In Peshawar, Siraj-ul-Haq, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, emphasized the need to move beyond dynastic politics, urging for a departure from the narratives centered on family legacies.

He highlighted February 8 as a pivotal day, calling it a chance to break free from the grip of hereditary political systems that have left 250 million citizens yearning for change since their votes.

Siraj-ul-Haq lamented the obstruction of justice in courts due to political interference and pointed out the economic downfall caused by corruption, estimating an annual corruption figure of five thousand billion. He clarified Jamaat-e-Islami’s stance against any term extensions and criticized costly agreements with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), attributing them to the country’s sinking economy.

Regarding security, despite being a nuclear power, he expressed concern over the persisting challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where terrorism continues to take a toll on people’s lives, leading to a weariness of frequent funerals.

He criticized the major political parties for what he sees as their collective mismanagement that has led to the downfall of the country. He also highlighted the disparity in living conditions between powerful figures, drawing comparisons between the residence of the American President in the White House and that of the Governor of Peshawar.

Additionally, Siraj-ul-Haq addressed the ongoing aggression in Gaza, expressing disappointment that despite the passage of 58 days, the situation remains tense, suggesting that the rulers still harbor fear of repercussions from America.
