Islamabad: Severe tremors of the earthquake were felt in many cities of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir, including the federal capital.
Fear and panic spread after earthquake tremors were felt in various cities including Lahore, Peshawar, Swat. People came out of their houses reciting Kalima Tayyaba.
According to the seismological center, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale while its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan and the depth was 213 km.
