The Ministry of Interior has submitted a proposal to the federal cabinet regarding the deployment of the army as a quick response force in the upcoming general elections on February 8 in Pakistan.
Once approved by the caretaker federal cabinet, the army will be positioned to play a crucial role during the elections. The Election Commission had previously requested the deployment of 277,000 personnel, including members of the Pakistan Army, Rangers, and FC personnel.
Emphasizing the readiness for the elections scheduled for February 8, the Election Commission has affirmed that all preparations have been completed across the country. Additionally, the caretaker Federal Minister of Information dismissed rumors about any delays in the election process, assuring that the general elections will proceed as planned.
