ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to contest the inclusion of the terrorism section in the May 9 cases.
During a media talk, PTI’s legal team head, Faisal Malik Advocate, stated that applications are being submitted to remove Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) from all May 9 cases, based on the observations of the Supreme Court, the High Court, and the available evidence.
PTI’s counsel further mentioned that the terrorism provisions will be challenged during the May 29 hearing. These provisions have been questioned in the bail decisions made by the Supreme Court and the Rawalpindi High Court.
