Lahore: Tehreek-e-Insaf President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was arrested outside his house on Zahoor Elahi Road.
According to Express News, former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was arrested by the police and anti-corruption officers near his residence Zahoor Palace in Lahore and taken to an unknown location in a car. Nakala, CCPO Lahore was also present at the spot during the operation.
According to the sources, the Punjab Police had been searching for Chaudhry Parvez Elahi for several days and as soon as he reached his house on Zahoor Elahi Road, the policemen who were already there arrested him. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been handed over to Anti-Corruption Lahore, DSPCIA Muhammad Ali Butt presented Pervez Elahi, CIA Iqbal Town team arrested Pervez Elahi at half past five. Caretaker Information Minister Punjab Aamir Mir while confirming the arrest of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the arrest of Pervez Elahi is a great success, the spokesperson of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has also confirmed his arrest. It should be remembered that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was wanted by anti-corruption in corruption cases and efforts were being made by the police and anti-corruption to arrest him for several days.
