The Afghanistan national cricket team has arrived in Lahore to take part in the Asia Cup tournament.
Upon their arrival at Allama Iqbal Airport from Colombo aboard Lanka Airline, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials extended a warm welcome to the Afghan cricket team.
Stringent security measures have been put in place, and the foreign teams arriving for the Asia Cup are receiving presidential-level protocol. Under tight security, the Afghanistan cricket team was safely transported from the airport to their hotel.
Starting tomorrow, the visiting team will commence their training sessions at Gaddafi Stadium. The much-anticipated match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh is scheduled for September 3rd.
