
Karachi: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held discussions with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, focusing on enhancing support for small and medium enterprises.
The meeting also addressed concerns regarding the escalating prices of industrial gas, with Chief Minister Shah expressing apprehension on behalf of industrialists. Minister Aurangzeb assured to address this matter with the Federal Minister of Petroleum.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Shah highlighted discrepancies in the Federal Board of Revenue’s actions, citing instances where substantial sums were deducted from Sindh’s share. Minister Aurangzeb pledged to rectify such deductions.
Chief Minister Shah lamented the absence of new projects allocated to Sindh in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the past eight years, emphasizing the need for equitable distribution. Additionally, he raised concerns over delayed funds for flood-affected housing projects.
In response, Minister Aurangzeb committed to resolving disputes between the Federal Board of Revenue and the Sindh government.
