According to reports from Arab media, the bear had been sedated and kept in the cargo hold of the plane during preparation for take-off. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the bear regained consciousness before the flight departure.
As the passengers and crew were all set for take-off, the pilot was taken aback by the sight of the bear on the runway. Authorities were immediately alerted, and after a challenging struggle, the bear was eventually captured. It was then safely sedated again and returned to the plane.
The process of dealing with the bear took considerable time, leading to a delay in the flight. Understandably, this sparked frustration among the passengers, and they vented their anger at the staff, demanding accountability for the negligence that led to the unusual incident.
The Iraqi flight crew attempted to distance themselves from responsibility, insisting that the bear had been sedated by Dubai airport staff prior to boarding the plane.
An anonymous Iraqi Airways official revealed that the bear was destined for Baghdad but declined to disclose the identity of the bear’s owner.
The gravity of the situation caught the attention of the Prime Minister of Iraq, who promptly ordered an investigation into the incident to determine the causes and those accountable for the peculiar turn of events.
