The National Assembly session is scheduled to convene on April 1 for the election of 48 Senate seats, as per sources from the National Assembly Secretariat.

Approval for the Senate elections is anticipated to be sought during the National Assembly session on April 2, with the assembly hall slated to be repurposed as a polling station.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has forwarded a summary to the Prime Minister’s Office, which will subsequently send the meeting convening summary to the President. The President will then call for the National Assembly meeting on April 1.
