The finance minister of Canada has been issued a fine for exceeding speed limit while driving.

Canada’s Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland, incurred a $200 fine for exceeding the speed limit. The spokesperson for the Canadian Treasury Minister, Chrystia Freeland, as reported by a British news agency, confirmed that the minister received a speeding ticket in her home province of Alberta.

The recorded speed of her vehicle during the incident was 132 kilometers per hour, surpassing the established speed limit of 110 km/h on Alberta highways. Chrystia Freeland, who represents the Toronto Central constituency in the Parliament, often gains attention for her viral photos while cycling.

In a recent exchange with journalists, Chrystia Freeland mentioned that her father felt disheartened by her lack of a personal car. She shared that both she and her children rely on walking and cycling, as well as using the subway for transportation.
