Islamabad: The federal government has decided to phase out costly power plants that run on furnace oil. As stated by the Ministry of Energy, the government has directed relevant departments to develop a comprehensive strategy for decommissioning these plants.
According to the announcement, all the expensive power plants established under the 1994 and 2002 policies are currently under review.
