The commencement of the pilgrimage departure from Islamabad for Hajj this year is scheduled to span from May 9 to June 9, with the flight timetable already issued.
As stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Hajj 2024 flight operations will run from May 9 to June 9. During the initial 15 days, all flights will directly land at Madinah Airport. Subsequently, from May 24 to June 9, the majority of flights will land at Jeddah Airport.
On the inaugural day of the flight operations, 2160 pilgrims will embark on their journey to Saudi Arabia via 11 flights. From Islamabad, 680 pilgrims are set to depart through 3 flights, while 330 passengers will leave from Karachi on 2 flights, and 670 passengers from Lahore via 3 flights.
Similarly, 329 pilgrims will commence their Hajj journey from Multan through 2 flights, and 151 pilgrims will head to Madinah Munora on a flight from Sialkot. The first Hajj flight from Quetta is scheduled for May 11, while from Sukkur, the first Hajj flight will take off on May 27.
In total, over 68,000 pilgrims participating in the government scheme are expected to reach Saudi Arabia via 259 Hajj flights. The Hajj flight operations will conclude on June 9, with the initial return flight scheduled to bring pilgrims back home on June 20.
