Trading on Wednesday commenced with a 323-point increase, propelling the 100 index past the 61,000 mark for the initial time. Sustained market momentum drove the 100 index to reach a peak of 61,524 points.
Simultaneously, the dollar experienced a decline of 52 paise, reaching Rs 284.95 in the inter-bank market.
