The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to retract the reference against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in a hearing at the Accountability Court Islamabad, presided over by Judge Nasir Javed Rana.
This reference pertained to the LNG case involving Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and several others. NAB’s withdrawal of the reference was granted by the court, with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi present alongside his legal representatives.
It’s noteworthy that the request to withdraw the reference came after former MDPSO Imranul Haq appealed to NAB, suggesting it should not proceed. Following this appeal, NAB officials opted to withdraw the reference based on its merits.
