Following the commencement of e-passport issuance in Islamabad, the process has now been extended nationwide. The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has unveiled the fee structure for e-passports as follows:
- For a 36-page passport valid for 5 years, the fee is set at 9,000 rupees. An expedited (urgent) e-passport for the same duration will cost 15,000 rupees.
- A 72-page e-passport, under regular processing, will carry a fee of 16,500 rupees. Opting for urgent processing for the 72-page passport will incur a fee of 27,000 rupees.
- For a 36-page passport with a 10-year validity period, the standard fee is 13,500 rupees. Those requiring an urgent 10-year e-passport will be charged 22,500 rupees.
- In the case of a 72-page e-passport valid for ten years, the regular fee is set at 24,750 rupees, while an expedited service will amount to 40,500 rupees.
It’s important to note that the fees for regular passports will remain unchanged. These fee adjustments will come into effect starting August 16th.
