Some watch collectors might be envious of Cristiano Ronaldo’s most recent timepiece.
The latest eye-catching benefit of the football legend’s partnership with Jacob & Co. is the one-of-a-kind Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorites.” The gleaming bespoke timepiece gets its name from the nearly entirely green jewels that it features.
The watch’s striking color is a nod to Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo relocated earlier this month after joining Al Nassr football team. Tsavorites were chosen by the watchmaker rather than emeralds because they are 200 times more rare than their cousins but less expensive.
The crown, bezel, face, and 47 mm 18k white gold case of the watch are all set with 388 high-quality, baguette-cut tsavorites. This gives the watch a stunning, all-green appearance that is difficult to forget, despite the fact that it may appear a little excessive. The only part of the watch that doesn’t have stones on it is the strap, which is made of green alligator leather.
The watch’s calibre JCAA43 movement has bridges designed specifically for the gem setting. The hand-wound calibre drives the flying tourbillon for hours, minutes, and seconds at six o’clock. It has 216 parts and a power reserve of 42 hours.
However, you won’t be able to find anything green to wear on your wrist. Only football’s all-time leading goal scorer can own the Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorite,” which Hypebeast estimates to be worth $780,000.
Jacob & Co. is selling a variety of watches with Ronaldo-themed designs, which is good news for Ronaldo’s fans.
The company introduced two watches around the end of last year: the rose gold Flight of CR7 and the stainless steel Heart of CR7. There are two styles of each watch, one with diamonds and the other without; Each costs between $34,988 and $181,331, and there are only 99 of them.
