The Islamabad High Court has temporarily halted the summoning notice directed at Bushra Bibi and has called for a response from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the alleged audio leak case. Notably, FIA had called upon Bushra Bibi for voice matching, prompting a separate petition to be filed in the Islamabad High Court on her behalf.
Justice Babar Sattar of the Islamabad High Court presided over Bushra Bibi’s plea, with Sardar Latif Khosa Advocate representing her. The petition challenging the FIA’s investigation argued that the primary case is already under consideration by the same court. On September 18, the court had instructed the FIA to take legal action, and the main case is scheduled for a hearing on October 30. Despite the ongoing case, the FIA issued a summons on September 19.
The petition requested the court to issue an order suspending the FIA’s notice while the main case remains unresolved, as proceeding with it could potentially infringe upon the petitioner’s rights.
