
The Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has sanctioned an Eid package totaling Rs 1.15 billion along with other initiatives.
Led by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, a provincial cabinet meeting was convened, attended by members, chief secretary, IGP, and relevant administrative secretaries.
During the session, it was endorsed to allocate an Eid package to deserving individuals across the province. Under this initiative, 1000 deserving individuals in each constituency of the provincial assembly will receive Rs 10,000 each, amounting to a total of 1.15 billion rupees. Additionally, the cabinet approved extending an Eid package of Rs 10,000 to the families of 2,050 police martyrs.
Furthermore, a scheme aimed at providing vehicles and modern equipment to the police in the merged districts was given the green light. This entails the purchase of vehicles and modern equipment amounting to 7.67 billion rupees.
A committee was formed during the session to address the issue of conducting screening tests through private testing agencies for government department recruitments. This committee will provide recommendations, including those related to the capacity building of government testing agencies, within 15 days.
Moreover, the Digital Right of Way Policy was endorsed during the meeting. Additionally, an agreement between the Information Technology Board and the Special Technology Zone Authority for the establishment of Pakistan Digital City was approved. Rules for the appointment of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee members of the Pedu were also ratified during the meeting.
