
The appeal against the sentence in Imran Khan’s Idda marriage case has been shifted to a different court in Islamabad.
District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjamand made a request to the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court for the transfer, which was subsequently accepted.
The case has now been transferred to the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka.
Imran Khan’s appeal regarding the marriage during Eid period will be heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka. Khawar Manika, a involved party in the case, had expressed doubts about District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjumand during the previous hearing, prompting the judge to request the transfer of the case to the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court.
