The National Assembly is set to be dissolved on August 9, with general elections scheduled three months later. Khursheed Shah, the leader of the People’s Party, has revealed that the date of the assembly’s dissolution has been mutually agreed upon with the Nawaz League.
He stated that five candidates have been shortlisted for the caretaker prime minister position, and the inclusion of Ishaq Dar’s name is raising questions.
Khursheed Shah emphasized that a member of any political party cannot become the caretaker prime minister, as their aim is to establish a transparent caretaker setup for conducting fair elections.
